Happy September! We have recently through a launch (+ birthday) party in Seattle and have many exciting programs launching soon (hint: working with startups to help give designers practical design experience, personalized career advice, merch, more world tours, and more)
Thank you all for filling out our anonymous design salary report. We have submissions from locations all around the world!
Some insights:
The reported salaries vary significantly, ranging from $10,000 in Makati, Philippines, to over $165,000 in San Francisco, indicating a wide disparity based on geographic location and possibly seniority or company size.
A significant number of respondents work in hybrid or remote settings
Skills perceived as valuable for 2024 include storytelling, interaction design (IxD), adaptability, and leveraging AI products.
Common pain points in the design field mentioned by respondents include market instability, unhealthy working environments, misunderstandings about the role of UX, and challenges with design culture.
